Im beyond grateful for my teacher Catalina. She was my teacher almost 10 days ago in Vancouver, Canada. I fell in love with her personality and fun habilites as a teacher.
I learnt how to express myself in English in an academic environment but also she has been an inspiring person since I met her until today.
She is an exceptional woman and an amazing friend.
I know recommend only her job as a teacher but also I consider appropriate mention than once you met her she will be in your heart forever.

I first arrived in Canada in 2017 with the goal of learning English. At that time, the transition was not easy. After six months, I was already feeling homesick and even considered returning to Brazil. Everything changed when I moved to Catalina’s class in Vancouver.

From the very beginning, Catalina made a profound difference in my learning journey. The core of English learning—grammar, pronunciation, verbs, and structure—is something all teachers aim to deliver, and I had the privilege of meeting many good teachers. However, Catalina stood out as truly exceptional. Her mastery of grammar and the English language is complete, and her ability to explain even the most complex topics with clarity helped me build a strong foundation.

Beyond her professional excellence, what impressed me the most was her human side. Catalina is not only a teacher but also someone who understands her students deeply. It does not matter whether a student comes from a privileged background or has faced great difficulties in life—she always sees the human being first. To me, she was more than a teacher; she felt like a mother figure who guided, supported, and motivated me when I most needed it.

Because of Catalina, my desire to go back home decreased. She gave me confidence and inspired me to keep going. Without a doubt, she was the best teacher I had during my time in Canada in 2017 and 2018.

Even after eight years, we have continued to stay in touch. We met again in Europe, and we still speak regularly, which only shows the lasting impact she has had on my life, both as a teacher and as a person.

As a Brazilian who left home to learn English abroad, I can confidently say that Catalina was instrumental in my progress. Her professionalism, knowledge, and humanity make her an outstanding teacher.
